Family members and carers are very important to the wellbeing of young people. But they are also affected by a young person’s difficulties. In most cases, families and carers can provide a valuable contribution to the care of the young person, providing support and assisting them in their recovery.
They may be involved directly in working with the case manager and doctor, may access Family Peer Support, or might attend information sessions. The most important thing is that families and carers know that there are supports available to them.
Please look at the links in the 'For Families & Carers' section of the site menu above to find out more information relevant to families and carers.
