Orygen Specialist Program has different ways of delivering each of these streams of care to young people and their families - Outpatient Care and Family Work. These include office-based care and ‘outreach’ care in the community.
These modes of care are selected according to the needs of the young person and those of their families. Factors considered in choosing the appropriate mode of care include the level of engagement of the young person with the service, the intensity and frequency of treatment required, the role of the family in the young person’s life and the degree of independence and level of functioning of the young person.
