Access to clinical information

Current and former clients: if you would like to access your medical records, please email our Health Information Services department with details of the information you need. We will reply with details of identification, any fees and forms that need to be provided.

Q: Can I get help at Orygen Specialist Program if I don’t live within the catchment area?

A: If you don’t live in the Orygen catchment area then we are unable to provide direct services to you. You can find out where to access help via the Department of Health website.

Q: Can I visit Orygen Specialist Program?

A: Orygen Specialist Program is a clinical site and is not open to members of the general public. We do offer some professional visitation opportunities as well as student placements. Student placements are arranged by participating Universities not directly through Orygen Specialist Program.

Q: Can I volunteer at Orygen Specialist Program?

A: Unfortunately we do not currently have a volunteer program at Orygen Specialist Program. If you are interested in pursuing volunteer opportunities, please visit the Volunteering Australia website.  

Q: Can you assist with student assignments?

A: Due to the large volume of requests we are unable to assist on individual assignments. There is, however, a lot of useful information on young people and mental ill health on our website. Free Downloads – Youth Mental Health Resources is a good place to start.

For further youth mental health information try the headspace and Reachout websites. For specific information on depression and anxiety, the beyondblue website is an excellent resource.
