Orygen Youth Health is changing

Orygen Youth Health, a world-leading partnership in youth mental health comprising the Orygen Youth Health Research Centre and Orygen Youth Health Clinical Program will from 8th October 2014 be changing.

Orygen Youth Health Research Centre will on this date transform to become Orygen, The National Centre of Excellence in Youth Mental Health. This change has come about through the support and investment of the Australian Government and will see a broadening of the role of the organisation.

Orygen, The National Centre of Excellence in Youth Mental Health and Orygen Youth Health Clinical Program will continue to work together closely as partners on projects and share expertise to promote our goal of creating better outcomes for young people with mental ill-health. We will also continue to co-locate in Parkville.

Going forward though we will have different branding and distinct web sites.

So what is happening to the Orygen Youth Health Clinical Program?

The Orygen Youth Health Clinical Program, a program of NorthWestern Mental Health will continue to deliver high-quality evidence-based treatment for young people 15–24 years old and their families who are living with mental disorders in the western and north-western areas of Melbourne. We will do this through our sites in Parkville, Sunshine and Werribee. Our website will continue to be located here at oyh.org.au.

So what will be the role of Orygen, The National Centre of Excellence in Youth Mental Health?
